2025 Federal Election Guide

The Sikh Federation (Canada) is proud to announce the successful completion of its landmark 2025 Federal Election Questionnaire campaign, a key initiative aimed at elevating Sikh politica advocacy and ensuring grassroots community issues are squarely on the national agenda as Canada prepares to elect its next Parliament.

Through this campaign, the Sikh Federation (Canada) engaged aspiring Members of Parliament in over 30 decisive ridings where the Sikh community forms a meaningful and organized segment of the electorate. With responses received from 40% of the targeted ridings, the initiative marks a major success in advancing transparent, issue-based engagement with political parties and candidates across the country.

Highlights:

Party Responses: 66.6%

Two out of the three major Canadian political parties provided an official response on behalf of the party.

Riding Responses: 40%  

We received responses from candidates running in 40% of our target ridings.

Commenting on the importance of the initiative, Bhai Moninder Singh, National Spokesperson for the Sikh Federation (Canada), said: 

"The engagement we've seen from candidates confirms that these are not fringe concerns. The Sikh community is asserting itself with clarity, focus, and long-term vision. We look forward to working with all elected Parliamentarians-regardless of party affiliation-to ensure that these values and objectives are transformed into concrete policies, both in Parliament and across government institutions."
